Banana Oats Shake
Banana oats shake is one my go to post work out snacks. I usually crave for something cold after an intense session no matter what the season is. It’s also a quick way to get something nutritious before temptation strikes!
The ingredients are quite simple; you can switch things by adding or substituting ingredients.
In the summer time I love adding some papaya chunks; matcha powder is also a great addition.
I also love making it with nutmeg for an eggnog flavor. Yum!
Why is it so good?
It’s delicious with mejool dates.
Dates are loaded with minerals like magnesium,copper potassium ( great for muscle cramps), and zinc. They also have soluble and insoluble fibers which are great for digestive health and aid with weight management.
- 2 medium ripe bananas
- ¼ cup of oats
- 1 cup of non diary milk
- 4 dates pitted and chopped
- 1 cup of crushed ice
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Put everything in the blender, wet ingredient first. blend until smooth and creamy.
Bananas need no introduction.Oats, well… I am obsess with them. I just eat them for sport!
