Juicing can be a great way to clear your skin and make it glowing!
I am a firm believer in getting good in to achieve great results out. I believe food is our biggest source of remedies.
Juicing had been a part of my self-care routine as far as I can remember!
Juicing for shinier hair, juicing for better skin and nail, juicing to get rid of a cold… you got it!
Why should you juice?
I personally juice because I want to consume fruit and vegetable I wouldn’t normally eat due to their taste or texture. It’s a great way to get the vitamins and minerals they contain. For example, I don’t usually enjoy celery. its metallic taste is just not something I want to reach for. I still think it goes well mix in with cucumber and green apple.
Juicing is also a great way for me to consume maximum vegetables and fruits during the day!
Don’t get me wrong I still get my daily salad and vegetable soups! Juicing is just a way for me to cover what I don’t care to eat daily!
Vegetables like celery, green apple, carrots,oranges are always on my grocery list for that purpose. I also love having ginger, greens like kale, and some type of root vegetable like sweet potatoes.
I love juicing first thing in the morning after a reinvigorating yoga session., That’s what makes sense to me and my lifestyle.
Where do I get my juice from?
I stay away from store brought juice packed with fillers and artificial sugar.
Even If it’s just plain orange juice, I prefer having it straight from my own juicer freshly made!
I don’t own a fancy juicer, I purchased the one I got 3 years ago from amazon for $ 30. It’s one of the best purchases I have made. It’s simple to use, doesn’t wake up the entire neighborhood when in use and easy to clean!
Any visible results?
Anyone with common sense knows juicing alone is not healthy. You need to have a well balanced diet, low stress and active lifestyle.
I do think my skin looks so much healthier when I maintain juices in my diet
- 4 carrots
- 3 celery stalks
- 2 green apples
- 1 thumb size ginger
- juice from 1 small lemon
- 1 medium cucumber
- 1 small orange peeled
- Wash,peel,cut,slice the veggies to fit your juicer's mouth. Add the veggies one after the other and enjoy over ice or just as is!
