Meet the Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask. From humble origins, Herbivore botanicals started out in the owner’s Seattle kitchen to become one of the most talked about Indie beauty brands.
Herbivore botanicals send real millennial vibes, the price point, minimal packaging, the use of crystals, and gemstones, etc…
Herbivore uses simple and clean ingredients in great packaging. The most commonly ingredient used in their formula is Azulene which has great anti inflammatory properties. it is also what gives the blue tansy resurfacing mask its addicting blue hue.
Herbivore Tansy Resurfacing mask, the review,
The herbivore tansy resurfacing mask is lightweight with a gel like texture. It’s a real beauty in the jar due it’s blue hue from tansy.
The tansy mask is a gentle chemical exfoliator design to stimulate skin cells turn over.

Willow bark in the formula contains naturally occurring acid Salicylic that refines and cleans the pores.
AHA adds moisture to the skin without accessing its deepest layers. It helps the natural process of shedding which makes it ideal for anyone who suffers from sun damage.
AHA is recommended for people with dry skin.
BHA accesses the deepest layers of the skin. It’s anti inflammatory and anti bacterial which makes it a great acid for oily and combination skin or anyone who has acne, blackhead and whiteheads. BHA smooth the skin, reduces breakout and redness.
It’s recommended to always use a good quality sunscreen when using anytype of chemical exfoliators like AHA and BHA.
FYI, always check your acid sources as they are sometimes derived from animal sources like milk.( acid lactic.)
Always consult with your dermatologist before using retinol products and any type rosacea medicines along with Acids.
ALoe vera helps to combat inflammation, aging, acne, and scaring.

Who can use this mask?
The herbivore tansy resurfacing mask is suitable for oily, normal, and combination skin types. It’s non comedogenic, vegan, silicons, and gluten free.
You can totally use it daily, it is recommended to leave it on 15 to 20 minutes for optimal results. All you need is a thin layer. Let it dry, wash, pat, and dry. Use it less or with caution if you have sensitive or reactive skin.
The jar comes with a small spatula to allow you to retrieve just the right amount of product for application.
The spatula also prevents you from using your bare finger directly in the jar which obviously is not sanitary and quite counter productive by introducing contamination and dirt.
I personally use this mask around the time of the month when skin is more reactive and oily. It’s a great mask to have around when my face is red and inflamed with a bump or two and whiteheads. It’s part of my skin care routine to keep it clear all month long.
More from this blog:
Personally, my skin looks smoother, brighter, and clearer when using this mask constantly. I usually rinse it out with lukewarm water before following with a balancing toner, and brightening essence. Then, I usually proceed with a light moisturizer or emulsion depends on the weather or what I have on hand.
Honestly, I am not sure if the great results I have with herbivore tansy resurfacing mask are due only to it or if it’s the fact I usually pay greater attention to my diet and exercise routine when ever I am trying out a new skincare product or regimen. I also tend to be stricter with wearing sunscreen when even I am using a new product. (This melanin girl burns really fast in the sun!)
Anyway, I had this dark spot on my cheekbone area due to sun damage, that is completely gone after I have used this mask for a month constantly. Keep in mind that my results are purely empiric and this mask could totally be different for you. We are all unique with different skin type, genetics, and environment. I am totally happy with the blue tansy mask despite the steep price tag, I will probably repurchase it especially if goes on sales somewhere. One way or another, it’s a keeper and It’s quite on part with products of its category.
